Chapter Philanthropy & Service
Along with a national philanthropy, each chapter chooses a local philanthropy to support. This local philanthropy usually has a connection to the chapter personally.
At the Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Beta Gamma, we focus on giving back to the community and improving the lives of others. Each semester we donate time and funds to The Mustard Seed Food Bank, our Local Philanthropy, and the Special Olympics, our International Philanthropy. Sisters also have a required amount of philanthropy hours they must complete each semester as a way of showing our dedication to the philanthropy aspect of the sorority.
Some of our philanthropy projects include:
Donation Drive for the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Victoria
Fundraising for the Women's Sexual Assault Centre
BMO St. Patrick's Day Run for Diabetes (2011-2013)
Evasive plant removal at Ford Rodd Hill
CIBC Run for the Cure (2011-2015)
Trick-or-Eat Program (2011-2015)
Links of Love
Special Olympics Programs (2012-Present)
MS Walk (2011-2013)
Light the Night (LLS) Walk (2013)
